Cats or dogs ? Poll

Cats and dogs both have good qualities. Cats are definitely cuter though.

They’re a fun cross between a mammal and a poltergeist. What’s not to love?

That’s hilarious and apt.

Like, that weird clicking when they see a bird or a bug? What even is that?

I have a dog now, but since I live in a townhouse, if I were allowed (which I’m not), I’d have a cat. It would just be easier. Don’t get me wrong- I love my dog to bits, and she’s perfect- but I kinda feel like she would be happier with a yard, and I know we’d be happier if we didn’t have to go on walks all the time.

I have a frog and a bearded they require specialized care but I live them
But between a cat or dog… cat

Cats are better. Cats basically take care of themselves. Dogs are too needy and require to much maintenance.

I grew up with a friendly tuxedo cat, but I lived 2 years with my stepdad when he had a yellow labrador who was just the sweetest animal on the planet. I walked her once or twice every single day, I didn’t consider it a chore. So I guess I’m split down the middle.

I think it comes down to how much love and affection are you willing to show the animal? I think dogs require much more love and attention than cats, so I would factor that in. Cats are more low maintenance for sure.

I’m allergic to both but I answered dogs cus there so cute and snuggly

Is it possible to like them equally? I like friendly dogs and friendly cats. I probably lean a bit towards dogs because my family had a dog and my friend had a dog through most of high school and I saw him almost every day. So growing up I was more of a dog person, but still liked cats.

I like dogs because they seem to be warmer and friendlier but I had my own cat when I lived by myself and he was the friendliest, most affectionate cat. I dislike cats like my ex-brother-in-laws two cats who run away every time someone walks in the room and they don’t let you pet them. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of having a cat?

So when my sisters told me they were buying me a cat for my birthday for my studio my biggest criteria was I didn’t want a cat who was afraid of people and that’s what I got! I lived in a small studio and I didn’t have a lot of visitors but when the maintenance man came in semi-frequently my cat would just sit there calmly with his legs folded under him and just watch and let the guy pet him.

Or I had a friend for awhile who would come over occasionally and my cat was fine with him. I mean there’s a hundred differences between cats and dogs, both good and bad, but I was perfectly fine with my cat or any other friendly cat.
