Can't study because of benzos

Hello, so I have really bad memory because of benzos, it affects me so much that I can’t study anymore…My psychiatrist also said that even if I leave benzos I might not get my memory back, so I’m feeling really down and sad :frowning: Has this happened to any of you before? and what did you did?

Memory is like a muscle, the more you use it. The better it’ll be. Even after stopping Benzodiazepines you may struggle at first but it’s flexible (imo)

I was on benzos for a year.

My memory isn’t the best but I don’t know if it’s all down to benzos.

I found some stuff that meant I could come off benzos :

  1. Broccoli sprout extract
  2. L-theanine

Coming off benzos has to he done very gradually. Here’s a post I made about it earlier:

I was on 0.5mg a day of clonazepam, and got horrible withdrawals. The way I eventually came if it was by slowly increasing the amount of days between taking it.

At the beginning I would take it every other day for 2 weeks, then every 3 days for two weeks, etc.

Doing it very slowly was the key.

Good luck coming off it.

I stopped taking diazepam 2 weeks ago. For now I feel fine
