Can't sleep on Lexapro?

After four days on Lexapro I had a bit of insomnia last night. I read this is a temporary side effect. How long will it last?

Was on lexapro, had this effect. Lasted about a week for me maybe 10 days

I take 10 mg of Lexapro at night and have no problems falling asleep. I also take 6 mg of Melatonin at night, so that helps me fall asleep within an hour.

Are you taking the Lexapro in the morning? That might help you fall asleep if it gets into your system in the morning.

Yes I’m taking it in the morning but still had trouble falling asleep. This started after 4 days on it.

I know it sucks. You may want to try otc sleeping pills like antihistamines. That helped me

This is really rough. I’m getting some Tylenol PM and trying that.
