no one can hear your thoughts…i used to think like you.
do remember muggles…normal people think wierd and wonderful things to, horrible things, nasty things.
it is called being human.
do an experiment.
go to your nearest town or village centre…
sit on a park bench…do not stare at anyone…look at a tree or something…and think your thoughts.
no one will react to them…because, simply, they cannot hear your thoughts.
you are safe.
know someone cares .

“they won’t like me if they find out who i really am.” My thoughts that are out loud are my intrusive thoughts but that is not what i really think? So if they could read my real thoughts i think they would feel sorry for me, are your thoughts intrusive?, it doesn’t matter what u think since we all have thoughts and none of our thoughts are perfect

I don’t know what you mean by intrusive but they’re personal and sometimes bad @see121

From wikipedia:
An intrusive thought is an unwelcome involuntary thought, image, or unpleasant idea that may become an obsession, is upsetting or distressing, and can feel difficult to manage or eliminate.[1] When such thoughts are associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), and sometimes attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the thoughts may become paralyzing, anxiety-provoking, or persistent. Intrusive thoughts may also be associated with episodic memory, unwanted worries or memories from OCD,[2] posttraumatic stress disorder, other anxiety disorders, eating disorders, or psychosis.[3] Intrusive thoughts, urges, and images are of inappropriate things at inappropriate times, and generally have aggressive, sexual, or blasphemous themes.[4]

@see121
a lot of thoughts are intrusive. so yeah, I think that’s what’s going on because I wish I didn’t think about all the terrible stuff I think about.

most of the time the voices insert the thoughts into my head but that’s not happening now

My previous psychologist once told me some good ways to deal with intrusive thoughts are 1.remind yourself that they’re totally normal; everyone has intrusive thoughts so you have no reason to be ashamed of them or their content and 2. more importantly, tell yourself that it’s not possible for someone to be in your body- that feeling is a symptom of your illness and it is not real.tell yourself that the medication will slowly decrease the frequency and intensity of these feelings.

okay, I’ll try
thank you so much @see121 xx

muggles are normal people
normal people are muggles
we are rocks protruding from the sea,
the waves batter us,
the waves are our thoughts,
but we stand steadfast,
unyielding
we are unique
beautiful.

Hi,

Are you taking any medications right now for psychosis? They can usually help with this problem.

Meds that work + REBT-brand CBT. Great combo for lion-taming the bloddy voices.

I thought people could hear my thoughts so I started thinking random neutral stuff to make them confused. It made me confused. Meds helped me to realize only I can hear my thoughts. I still get the feeling though, but I use logic thinking to convince myself that is not true.

I was in hospital for 6 months. I was very sad because I though my life was ruined. Everyone hated me. I thought. But you know what? My family and my two friends were still there for me when I got out of there. I even got back to my old work place. Other tasks, easier things, to do. But I am liked by my co workers too. I used to be a boss, now I don’t manage that, I’m a floor worker.

It’s bad joke. Some cities do ‘thought broadcasting’ REALLY BAD, you may just not be able to handle the place alone…You don’t notice it as bad in company of another person. And, you won’t get so many thought broadcasters or weirdos hitting you up for dates, worse shows, drama, etc…

When you first move, the people who hear the voices some of the time will greet you with something nutty or private comment about you, especially if you are on disability check. Some places have so many ruined people who get nothing, there is tons of hatred about disability assistance unless you have white cane, 1 arm or rolling around. This situation fuels so much anger, you get a lot of people who will act out on you in some places, even screwing you out of housing, job, college…If female, you really need to know someone if you plan to move very far or can REALLY be unsafe or you moved with a partner/roommate/whatever…

If you ignore the talk around you, it quits. Otherwise, you are hanging out in wrong place…Sometimes just eating at restaurants, some of the crap around you is intrusive or rude.

You are better not to respond to this crap unless the person acts friendly, some will try to pick someone up acting like this…Other people will just get weirdos & you shouldn’t even answer. If you have groups of kids trying to harass you called gang stalking, DO NOT RESPOND and area may not be safe for you so consider moving…

Best 4 pieces of advice I was given:

  1. If you want to move somewhere, walk around the area at a preplanned time and see who says something off to you.
  2. Don’t move alone…I don’t care if it is relationships or just a team approach to moving.
  3. Do not move somewhere where you do not know anyone. If you do, have enough money to leave and a place to go…Some places are targeting women for abusive relationships, prostitution and druggie’s girls…even smaller towns. Dirty cops were locking up some women who argued about fate in mental hospital …
  4. Some cities/towns are toxic. If it is too bad, you need to consider leaving…They don’t take schizos easily in some places unless you want to get a job & work full-time. I highly advice you to have money saved up to cover the rent if you get screwed, which is a higher for schizo. Know all the SSDI/SSI rules that apply to you. Work the job part-time, temporary or contractor before you accept full-time work. If you want to work part-time, you need to apply for jobs you would not want to work full-time because you WILL work a few things that were not okay and you don’t want to list these on resume…Partial resumes at the REALL full-time jobs will get you fired or keep you from being hired…

Happens to me everyday, caffeine intensifys it. When I go to the gym it feels like everyone has a radio head. Can be very iratating. My AP quites it down.
