I’m wondering what would happen if I was completely silent and stopped responding to thinking.
FYI- I hear voices/have intrusive thoughts.
So for the next 5 days, I’m going to be completely mute in my head.
I’m just going to stop speaking and thinking,
And if thinking gets off the wheel, I’ll simply get back on it.
If there is a cause to be thought of the symptoms, the idea will be it’s all just in my head.
Well godspeed to myself, wish me Goodluck,
I’ll post my analysis, ideas and results of this on the 14th, as this idea is a interesting one to me,
it will be cool to see what I conclude after doing this.
Hey try this, If something comes to you, Unknown …listen for moment then try to bring it up again. This from way beginning , when you first listened, if you listen all the way to the end from here. You can tell yourself a normal person couldn’t say that. ANd it doesnt sound like a normal person could so you dismiss it from here. Try. and let me know if it works. Good luck
I’ve tried it before when I thought the devil could hear my thoughts and zero in on my location to kidnap me through them. I found it incredibly difficult if not impossible.
Plus you realize trying to prevent intrusive thoughts makes them worse?? The only way to deal with them is to let yourself think them, accept you have those thoughts and that you don’t agree with them and move on.
i have fought those and most of the time i dont open mouth, let unusual thinking interrupt the day to day activities. but still there lives the culprit in mind in the form of man/woman who voices and spoils the fun. also the mood the intrusive thought creates stays still and disrupts other activities.
@anna sorry have to disagree with you, being silent minded does not mean denying such things or experiences.
Plus in the context of what your saying sounds as if you where denying a delusion.
i understand what you mean though, i understand tactics when it comes to intrusive thinking, just do not think we meant the same things. I’ll see how things go though.
@Melomaniac yeah i know what you mean, man schiz convictions can be so strong sometimes
i don’t believe me being silent can stop the auditory hallucinations, but it may allow me to grow in insight to help shake my head from such
hey, if you think therefore you “am” then knowing the thoughts are in your head helps that much more in deciding what to do. I know if you listen and then brag them on to talk again, the thoughts are connected to the previous and in no stance can a normal person do this. That proves to you, you’re hearing something else. Look up a bit i left instructions on how. to listen. Please this works for me and i want to improve all yall with it.
stop them by being with them. if you hear a voice egg it on to say more. Listen. Then repeat it to yourself. the first voice to you egging it on voice. Then if you hear it from here the voices don’t seem normal and you can dismiss it in your mind that they are someone else. A better tool to use this is, when you realize just be in the moment with everything that you are. Being in the moment with the voices after you try this is better for your ego. try. I hope it helps.
