I was thinking previously that sz was caused by epigenetic changes through trauma; and if you add to that cannabis and even tobacco causing epigenetic changes then to me they all add up. Certainly in my case.
It doesn’t say it causes, or can be proved that this is the case but slowly the science is catching up.
Epigenetics is a real science that has been proven through electrocuting mice accompanying a visual cue, and this developed fear passes down generations. Sometimes it even skips a generation, interestingly.
Luckily, my desire to smoke has diminshed somewhat and I am no longer craving it! Too late though…
Since it became legal I tried smoking marijuana daily for a year straight. Found certain strains like live resin things got me stoned feeling. And then sativa strains got me euphoric high feelings. And I did become very psychotic. And I was using it I thought it helped my musical creativity and my energy And vibe and buzz and all that stuff. I also was intrigued by it because Hollywood glamorize it in movies and songs and so much glamorization of marijuana. I’m glad I tried it and got it out of my system. It’s not for me. I feel so much better without it. I have so much better high in life without it. I actually can relax more in life without it. Because it doesn’t fit with my family. I can play music better without it actually. I can experience music better without it. My therapist really helped me realize all these things. As he is a proficient musician who plays drums as I do. And he has written about four albums of music of his own. Now he’s learning guitar. He also does vocals while he plays. My psychosis has really declined and is about 50% less than when I was using it regularly. For me tried it and it makes my psychosis much worse but I’m so high and stoned I don’t realize it while under its influence.
I’ve found for myself it doesn’t really increase psychosis unless I’m also stressed otherwise. But it does increase depression for me to use it daily. So I feel similarly, not really for me. It wasn’t one of the drugs that triggered psychosis for me I don’t believe. I think that was LSD if it was drug induced. But the timeline is confusing and I’d need a Dr opinion about it. I was severely depressed after LSD use but not psychotic until a year later, so I don’t know.
