I have bad side effects from Geodon, Risperidol,Abilify,and most of them. Get spastic movements and akathesia. Does anyone know of good meds that don’t cause bad side effects. I am on Lexipro and Buspar(Generic). Thanks!

I went through 4 or 5 other medicines with rough side effects until I landed on Zyprexa. Had akathisia on 20mg and 10mg, but when we reduced it to 7.5mg the side effects went away. I’ve been taking 7.5mg Zyprexa daily for over a year now and it’s really helped me.

All antipsychotic on the market has side effects including caplyta, caplyta makes you sedated.

I’m on Clozapine as well as Ziprasidone. You could ask about Clozapine though, see what your pdoc says.

Have you tried any of the old aps, like the phenothiazines. I’m on perphenazine and have zero side effects.

When you have akathisia
you don’t stop your ap,
but simply you take a med for akathisia.
I had it in the past with amisulpride

In this sentence, thus is used to signify something similar to “so” or “therefore”.
I believe you are using another spelling of the word ‘this’. Thus is a different word.

i’m on a combination of risperdal consta and clozapine… maybe you can try clozapine if other meds don’t work out.

Vraylar, latuda, caplyta are my favorite. Better for depressive moods, cognitive decline, weight loss, just an insurance hassle. Some doctors are hesistant. Helps with negs and psychosis.
