I’ve heard they’re grumpy and smell bad. But they sure are cute!

oops wrong video!

koalas can become infected with an STD it causes them to poop on themselves and smell terrible, I heard about it on animal planet. they didn’t say how they get it just that once they get it they have it for life. maybe try a sugar glider, chinchilla, hedgehog or degus

They sleep all day. I took some photos with them in Australia, its hard to find one that’s awake to take a photo with.

Awww! :koala:

I hear they are pretty vicious.

And this from the aussie member here, no they can’t be pets.

You can adopt koalas through rescue societies and visit them in nature retreats but you can’t own one and keep it at home.

It’s a shame because they’re under threat due to man encroaching and developing on forest land. They get hit by cars or attacked by dogs.

They feel like carpet.

Hope I don’t catch the koala clap!

What a lovely Koala. I should really get to know koalas better. I was startled by one once because I thought it was talking to me, but I got over it. It seemed to have magic power

they’re cool looking slow creatures, slow like me lol.

I don’t have any pets. Always wanted one, but probably a dog or cat, as they are better pets. I think I could hug a koala though. And I think a treehugger would be nice to have around sometimes.

I have two cats, and when my girlfriend moved in I adopted her cat, link.

Wild animals should never be kept as pets. 90 percent of the time people don’t know how to properly care for them and their lifespan and quality is severely reduced. In addition wild animal “pets” are generally obtained in illegal and cruel ways by the people that sell them. Thirdly wild animals still possess instincts that are not going to make them good pets.

It’s a nice thought though. They’re very cute <3 best to enjoy them in their natural habitat though!
