Can I eat fresh grapefruit with abilify?

Well, I sleep during the day I won’t be getting to a pharmacy any time soon.

Was just wondering if anyone knows regarding grapefruit and abilify?

Merci beaucoup,

Gracias

No. Grapefruit messes with how you absorb medications in your stomach. It’s a no no if your on most meds.

I wouldn’t, Google says…

“Your doctor may recommend that you avoid eating grapefruit and drinking grapefruit juice while taking Abilify. The drug can interact with this food and beverage. Grapefruit is a substance known as a strong CYP3A4 inhibitor. CYP3A4 is an enzyme in your liver that helps remove Abilify from your body.”

Omg this is quite sad news.

I was hoping abilify was one of the exceptions.

Now I don’t know what fruit to add to my diet.

I love grapefruit.

In what way do they clash?

Makes me more foggyheaded, harder to think straight. Last time I drank orange juice I crossed a street on a red light while cars were coming. My mind was really out of it.
