I can’t have grapefruit or grapefruit juice as it interacts with Abilify.
Really
I just had green grapes along with aripiprazole just now.
Does it have a reaction or meds don’t work? Why can’t you have it along
From Google
Consuming grapefruit while taking Abilify may cause Abilify to build up in the body. This can increase the risk of side effects from the drug. Your doctor will likely recommend that you avoid grapefruit products during Abilify treatment.” There are currently no reports of Abilify interacting with other foods.
You know it’s been almost two months or so without any symptoms of sz
I don’t want to relapse
What does this mean. I took 20 mg does it mean it won’t desolve to reach the brain?
Edit:
CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 help remove Abilify from your body. Drugs that are strong inhibitors of these enzymes slow down the removal of Abilify. This can cause Abilify to build up in your system, which may increase the risk of side effects from the drug.
Sustained Release vs. Extended Release meditation works.
I think the meds will dissolve a bit slow and retain in the body and side effects increase? As it’s in the body @everhopeful ?
This is the side effects I usually carry
dizziness, feeling unsteady, or having trouble keeping your balance.
I will keep an eye on it .
Interesting thread. I like the awareness of it.
For me bananas. Too high potassium currently
I can’t have grapefruit because it interacts with Buspirone.
Just a reminder, grapefruit and grapes are not the same thing. Grapefruit is a citrus fruit that is contraindicated with most antipsychotics. Green and red grapes are completely safe as far as I know.
I’m on zyprexa. Interestingly I get a interaction with a couple of other citrus fruit, oranges and bergamot(bergamot is sometimes mixed in black tea). But I never heard anybody else here with this problem.
I’d say coke/pepsi is something favorite I can’t have because of stomach problems.
I can’t have chocolate. I like it a lot but i tend to overdue it and it takes my sugars crazy high, so my doctor told me it’s a no-go. None. No more Hersheys kisses or Reeses!
