No it shouldn’t be banned! I mean, it’s got some pretty bad material. They sing about rape in the opening song. But I hate when the purity police try to ban every piece of art that is offensive rather than thinking critically about it and what it says about the culture of the time.

Vintage movies should not be banned. They are a mark of what passed at the time and are like history lesson of what was.
Eddie Murphy’s Delirious would definitely not fly today but it can still be appreciated.

In fairness,
Grease is a terrible movie,
And definitely promotes all those bad things.
But it was a different time and I don’t think we should ban things for not being politically correct.

Its just a movie as the guy on the article said dont take it seriously it does have bad stuff though i had never seen it but why are we trying to ban everything now?

Sexism and homophobia I can see. but where do they get racism? Just because it has an all white cast? Lots of films and TV from that time did…it’s just the way it was. You could call half the shows from the 70’s and 80’s racist if that is the criteria. And practically every show in the 50’s and 60’s. Why not ban “Perry Mason”?lol. How about “Happy days”. I could name a million other shows.
And no, I don’t think it should be banned. That’s ridiculous considering how many movies there are with over the top violence and perverted sexuality that aren’t banned(not that they should be). Adults should be able to watch what they want to watch.

I do not think it should be banned because it is not all bad, and because we are aware it was made in the past, not the present where there is more positive awareness.
I was watching some of Borat with my brother yesterday.
That movie is full of things that I am surprised that they get away with.
