I won’t go into details, but a friend lost his wallet. He doesn’t have an ID and his bank account is frozen. He had a California driver’s license. I told him they should have his picture on file and could probably issue him a replacement.
Does anyone know about California DMV or if they can replace your ID quickly? I’m in Arkansas. Here they just match your picture to the one on file and issue a replacement with little hassle.
If no one answers here, then have him call his local DMV and ask them. The DMV should tell him/you how to replace a drivers license. The Dmv gets very busy and can be hard to get a live person so call early when it first opens.

I sent some money via PayPal to his boss to tide him over temporarily. Not to worry, I have lent him money before, and he pays it back. I don’t know his boss, but my friend says he’s okay. I didn’t lend him my rent check, and it was just $100. Not a big deal for me.
