This tool is somewhat accurate. Maybe the results are a little bit higher than they should be. It’s not a DEXA scan, but you can estimate.
It says my body fat is 28%. Which is obese.
What is your bf%?

No thanks. If I wanted to be depressed, I’d watch “Old yeller”
It seems that the margin of error is about 3-4% (which is a lot)
mine is acceptable according to this scale. (20% body fat)
15151515 1515 151515
How does it work?
It sends a current through the body and reports back. You can’t feel it!
Then you see the detail on the phone app.
You can get smart scales for about £20
It seems that bioimpedance does have a 3-4% margin of error, same as the navy test.
Yeah, but the parameters are more and take account of age, measures fat around organs etc.
67%
Enough words
I will buy some calipers next time I order protein powder, and compare the results
Ethnicity isn’t taken into account in bmi or the navy test probably.
Yeah but we are talking rough estimates.
The only way to accurate measure it is an autopsy I believe.
There are more accurate scales that measure metabolism too that put you in a selaed chamber and measure breath etc.
Not accurate enough, but more accurate than the above.
I believe the more expensive and thorough methods have about 1-3% of margin, while navy and impedance are tied for 3-4%?
I wouldn’t know tbh.
I can’t manage on less than 1500 calories so if I gain there is little i can do about it.
