Caffeine and schizophrenia

They say caffeine worsens symptoms of schizophrenia, wtf

I feel worse when drinking over 4 cups of coffee daily, I feel irritable and nervous.

I’m skimming studies and it seems unclear.

Moderation doesn’t seem horrible.

Obviously everybody handles it somewhat differently, so it’s something to consider.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Its has lots of side effects in high doses that I didn’t know like mania, etc.
Its bad for high blood pressure and the heart.
I have high blood pressure but I have no choice other than caffeine because I sleep all day everyday if I don’t drink it.

Its even bad for epilepsy, my neighbour has epilepsy and his Dr told him to limit his caffeine. Now he doesn’t drink any.

My brother said this to me today. I don’t drink as much as I used to… lowered to 1 to 2 cups a day.

Everything enjoyable is bad for you according to experts. Would it be better for my body and the planet if I biked everywhere and lived on tofu and water? Probably, but that would be a miserable life full of joy deprivation, so why bother?

It’s ■■■■■■■ mad. I can have a small cappuccino though. Not surprised.

I think of webmd as a popularized medicine site and I don’t trust what they say.

Its not only WebMD, all websites and Drs say the same about caffeine. One of my Drs told me that too much caffeine is bad for schizophrenia.

My cardiologist told me I should switch to decaf. I told him I could hide his body in an oil drum somewhere. We compromised on two cups per day.
