Buying things is not so great anymore

I had my birthday last Saturday. From the money I have only bought one thing that I will need. A new backpack, because my old zipper has broken. And the other things I bought are things I could have done without.

Only this time I have not bought nonsense like computer games. What I have bought are a blender, a cap, a shoulder bag. There is also a winter jacket and a sweater for the winter. Because I do not have a winter jacket.

So two things I’ll need, the rest is then on the first day, so today, already a huge disappointment to myself. I should have saved the money rather. Well, the next birthday I know.

Somehow things are not that great anymore. Even if you often think about owning it. In the end, if you have it then I see that it would be better without it. And I once read a sentence, the things you own, own you as well.

I complain at a high level.

I don’t know. It looks like you were sensible with the money.

I sometimes buy things cause I’m down to make myself feel better but it only makes myself feel better for a moment and it’s never enough. From now on I decided to stop doing it.

Yes, I rarely bought in the past something more useful than the stuff I bought now. I hope I will be going from now from nonsense to useful and then rather to saving to have no trouble with money anymore.

I understand you. I just went out today because I had the money. After I wear the cap and the shoulder bag it was kind of disappointing. The blender is nice to have, I do not have to use it any day.

I often think about saving money for things that I know it will be just a moment of joy and then it gets back to the thought: “Did I really needed to buy that?”.
