I did a bunch of searching online for new shoes. At first I wanted basketball shoes, but then I settled for these “baseball turf trainers.” They’re basically baseball shoes without the cleats though.
I’ve been playing a lot of basketball, and I wanted a pair of hiiiiigh tops to tighten my ankles into the shoes for ankle protection while making insane moves on the courts. Combat boots lace up over the ankles, and support the ankles for the same purpose in the back country.
All of the basketball shoes are crazy looking, and I need athletic shoes for basketball and fitness training on and off of the court, but I need them to be able to go to offices and things looking for a new line of work and etc.
Casual and athletic shoes in one, so the baseball style is it. LOL Oh well.
I’ll get some high tops later for over $100, and they’ll be just the basketball court shoes and nothing else…because I don’t want to be caught wearing the stupid, crazy basketball shoe styles anywhere else these days. LOL
Yeah am looking at some Jordan retro 1 high tops there black with little bit of gold but, I won’t get them til next month bought some clothes this month instead
Right now I’m wearing a pair of Colemans, the camping brand, shoes. They are about 4 years old, but I’ve been working at home on the computer for all that time, but they didn’t wear out. Since I’ve been playing basketball the last 2 months, the toe is blowing out. Pff!! Time for news.
Lol that sucks your shoe blew out my brother owns a buy sell trade clothing store he gave me a couple lightly worn nikes I’ve been wearing them for about 2 years now I wanna upgrade
Many moons ago my family used to shop for shoes at Thrifties, now known as Rite-Aid. The store would have this bin filled with black or white high tops or black and white regular tennis shoes. All the different size shoes were all thrown in this bin and you had to sort through it to find a pair that fit. Usually a pair of the same size would be tied together but often you would find only one shoe in your size by itself and then you would have to paw through the whole bin to find its mate. This was 1972 or 1973 and a pair went for $5.00.
These are actually women’s, but I don’t think they look like women’s but more like unisex, so…except the sizing would be off, but anyway.
Basketball high tops are supposed to lace up over the ankles, so that when the foot goes into a some kind of over extended twice during moves or a “train wreck” on the basketball court, the shoe won’t even let the foot go that far. It’s not really a style fashion thing.
Central banks from Anglo Saxon Europe skewed the currency values of the world in order to rip the world off, so the number of money changed for the same things you used to get.
Technically the amount of time you work for the amount of food you get has gotten better not worse.
But if you consider real food prices, then it’s a lot worse. Fake food these days is very cheap, but real food these days is very expensive while it was much cheaper before. In other words you have to work harder now for real food than in the past. Or I should say “work longer” rather than “work harder.” Work is not as hard and dangerous now as it was ever in the past.
I like the style. I guess I’m looking for a “throwback” style like they say. All of the new basketball shoes have a space moon boot kind of look like I was going to a rave or something. There’s no way I want to wear them around anyone with a serious head on their shoulders or any else much for that matter. LOL
I have a shoe thing going on. I don’t think you’d like my take on shoes though; mine are usually peep toe stiletos. Not so good for sports of any kind…
