I just take a multi-vitamin for chicks over 50, it’s a store brand. I don’t think it does any good. I’ve got my eye on some expensive vitamins but I haven’t pulled the trigger yet because of something else I’ve got going.
Yea
I was just thinking the same
I’m taking Daily Essential Nutrients by Hardy Nutritionals, and am experiencing a good amount of recovery on it. I believe it repairs the blood-brain barrier, as it has some broad spectrum mental health benefits, as reported by studies and testimonials.
It’s only part of the problem though, as the gut lining needs to be repaired too, to reduce systemic inflammation problems.
I used to use Puritan’s Pride for supplements. You can get some good deals and sales, quick shipping. My doctor in SD recommended them to me, and her other patients cause I had good luck handling the stuff better. I have a beef allergy, so a lot of vitamins I have to watch how they get their certain ingredients. I’m not lactose intolerant, but beef fat itself I cannot have. I can’t have the enzymes in it. And I was born with that, never bitten by the tick that causes that.
Are you a believer of the dopamine hypothesis?
I believe a chemical imbalance from inflammation causes schizophrenia.
I’m not keen on what neurotransmitter exactly is out of whack, I just know that inflammation is the cause.
If only this were the case for autism…
It’d be nice to control my anger and meltdowns I have in a daily basis …
The paranoia sucks too though…Along with all the other stuff…
Have you ever experienced dopamine sensitivity?
Any akathasia or dystonic like symptoms?
I had some mild akathisia when I took 2 mg Haldol for a while. Twitches.
Pretty much stopped now though.
