Do you prefer British or American shows and movies?
I mean I love American shows, and you guys produce so much that you never get bored, but when I find out a show is British I immediately assume it will be great.

Shows like Sherlock and Monty Python had me sold years ago.
It’s a hard question. I appreciate British indy films, but I am also guilty of binge watching American TV shows when I feel the need to just relax and not have to think on much.
I like online streaming the best, as you get a real mix.
that’s too hard of a call. Ask a guy today and he’d say Benny Hill, over the Cosby Show.
The Brits have shows like Downton Abbey and let’s not forget about Harry Potter.
I think most of the very best shows and movies I’ve watched have been American. So it’s not just about the quantity!
British comedy is good
I like “Call the midwife” and “Mr Selfridge” on Netflix. Both are British.
I also like Monty python and Mr bean.
American movies are great, i think i prefer American movies bc there is so much more, also American shows like csi and ncis, bones, are all great, friends, big bang theory, sooo many and also the old classics,
i’d say American tv/movies is best hands down no contest.
Britts have some hits like notting hill and Harry Potter. but american overall better.
I voted American,
But some of my favorite shows are Australian.
Everyone always forgets about the Aussies.
I prefer the british shows. They don’t seem to be following a format as much as the american ones.
They make good shows,
I can’t get enough Chris Lilley,
The guy is genius.
Have you heard of “Ms Fischers murder mysteries”? Its Australian and I really enjoyed it.
Oh yeah I loved that Freaks show or whatever it’s called!
I never heard of that,
But I’ll check it out.
It’s not an easy choice but I prefer British shows particularly comedy. I just get it.
Seen it and liked it!
I can’t decide. I really like “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, but that’s not British. I was really taken with the show “Paradise Postponed” by John Mortimer back in the mid 1980’s. That was thoroughly British. I’ve liked a lot of the shows I’ve seen on Masterpiece Theater. They’re mostly British. I really liked “The Last Emporer”, but that’s neither British or American. Us Americans do have some great movies to our credit, like “The Graduate”, “Little Big Man”, and “Network”. I can’t decide.
