Blue light blocking glasses help me be kinder and more calm

Uvex blue light blocking glasses help me stabilize my moods I believe. I wear them between 6pm and bedtime. When you look at screens during these times it can throw off your equilibrium. They are incredibly cheap. The stylish ones are a scam. The ugly pair go for under ten dollar and actually work. Give them a try. Also, put night shift on your phone + computer display. Give it a try. I use them and gradually turn off lights as I’m winding down. It helps me sleep and makes me more amiable.

I used the opposite after my head injury. I had blue tinted glasses my rehabilitation therapist gave me to help me focus when I was relearning to read and write.

Not glasses - but i have red tinted lightbulbs thoughout my flat which keeps me calm. Everything i do is in a low red light. I dont like bright lights indoors - and it helps when i sleep in the day. Probably looks like a knocking shop in amsterdam from the outside! lol

When you look at screens there is blue light which throws you off. @anna knows. Even if you don’t have issues w/falling and staying asleep it can throw off your circadian rhythm. Circadian rhythm is likely connected to mood symptoms. Even if not diagnose sza or bp, those w/psychotic illnesses may benefit from regularizing things.

One might sleep 8 hours everyday and still be sleep deprived. APs will sedate you, but like anything, they can alter sleep architecture. Sleep deprivation and associated abnormalities are connected to psychosis.
