Blood sugar question

Does anyone know how extreme change in blood sugar can effect mood? I recently started taking metformin and it stabilized my blood sugar. It was 350-400 everyday and on the metformin it’s always around 120.

The reason I ask is because I feel clearer and better but lacking motivation. I also recently stopped THC so that’s like a confounding variable…but I feel like the blood sugar is changing the way my brain is and my feelings.

I feel cleaner and clearer but just want to lay in bed now …

I also have sza not sz

I binge on sugar. In the morning I ingest a lot of the stuff. It really affects my mood. It’s probably terrifically bad for me. I have craved sugar my entire life. A couple of times I have broken out in a rash from sugar. One time at the grocery store I ate about two thirds of a package of chocolate covered graham crackers and about two thirds of a package of hot links. I broke out in this crawling rash that moved around all the places in my body. It didn’t really itch until it got to my hands. It started to itch then.

Damn… I think I love sugar too! Never had rash tho

For me 155 to 145 makes me feel good and can do things anything lower or higher makes it worse :pensive:

High blood sugar will definitely affect mood, cognition and overall sense of health. Good your on metformin now.
