Is it natural for dual diagnosis of these two? Or would the schizophrenia/ affective disorder stem more from Autism? I know individual patients are different. Especially in Adulthood.
I’m bipolar and sz so I think so.

To be diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder requires excluding bipolar disorder, and vice versa

I think the meds are the same for sz and bi polar, so specific diagnosis isn’t really important

My friend has a dual diagnosis for both of these and has had for about 15 years.

Yes, it’s impossible to be both sz and bipolar at the same time. One rules out the other. Schizoaffective is a diagnosis unto itself.
