I was feeling a little blue about only being able to work part-time at my job because of my affliction.
@martinhersey1 chimed in and said, “Endorse yourself for knowing your limitations.”
It was a nice pick-me-up and I’ve never forgotten that piece of advice.

An old poster who doesn’t come by anymore, @jaynebeal gave me some great advice about what it’s really like to be a parent with schizophrenia.
“Don’t kill yourself”. It works better when you don’t bother explaining the reasons for the advice.

I thought you didn’t have sz?
I was diagnosed with it for 5 years. My diagnosis just switched. Regardless, I definitely had psychotic symptoms for a long time, and at the time she gave me that advice I was very afraid I would never get to have a family.

@Loke is always a sweetie to me - and says stuff like what a nice bloke i am. She has often cheered me up, when ive been in the dumps feeling sorry for myself.

It’s rare to get any good advice on this forum. Most people are just trying to be nice which is fine…
No specific advice. But i really admired pixel when i first started posting here. Not sure if hes still here. He was one of the bosses
