I’ve been on detox for 6 days. Got ridden from Geodon and Seroquel and increased to 400 mg Clopixol every 14. Day monoteraphy. Have never felt more calm and relaxed in years and will therefor respond on a lot less mail on this forum.

I have now not used Geodon for nearly two months. I’m now much more in harmony with all the people around me and the aggressive manic symptom now finally have perished. This cold turkey I took from Ziprasidone is the hardest thing I’ve done in my life. I just couldn’t tapper because the withdrawal would get to painfull and last to long. Please keep in mind that I was on this drug for nearly 20 years so I was truely addicted to this drug. I’ll not say that Geodon is a bad drug for you because maybe it’s the best meds you have ever tried. But now I know that Geodon is the worst and most addictive drug I’ve ever tried. I’ll advice all of you never to take a cold turkey from any antipsychotic if that can be avoided. If you are going cold turkey on an antipsychotic you have used for decades then go to a detox center because the withdrawals kicks like hell. One month ago I was put back on 300 mg Seroquel. And I’ll just say what a plesent experience. I was highly agitated when I took the combo Seroquel and Ziprasidone. But now where I take Seroquel and my LAI I feel so relaxed and calm. I am a much more quiet and peacefull person. I feel I got a new life or chance. I know when ever or where ever I meet a person who has schizophrenia likewise me who is in trouble I will do everything that is in my power to help that person.
