Haha you are an expert on it before even being diagnosed.
@anon35538622 hahah got to be
I meant it as a criticism bro.
world health organization did a study they found âAn unexpected finding of the follow-up stage of the WHO International Pilot Study of Schizophrenia (IPSS)3 was a markedly better overall outcome of schizophrenia patients in India and Nigeria at 2-year and 5-year follow-upâ " high rates of complete clinical remission were significantly more common in developing country areas (37%) than in developed countries (15.5%), Patients in developing countries experienced significantly longer periods of unimpaired functioning in the community, although only 16% of them were on continuous antipsychotic medication (compared with 61% in the developed countries)" thats because we have to much stress in developed countries , i live in vancouver and its stressfull also being raised by a narccisitic mother and a psychotic dad didnt help, i did alot of drugs too then these last 2 years i was in love with a narcissitc girl who gave me a lot of abuse too, doctors and pharmceutical companies dont want you to know this because they will lose money
yes and the other 70% would be in an asylum without meds.
So do you know the cure for schizophrenia? @shaunbal
The sedation is the side effect, they are eliminating voices and delusions.
I think thereâs nothing we can do here guys, this guy knows his stuff
yes zeno meds are amazing and much needed , but personally i feel if your not hearing voices or having delusions then being off meds would be better for functioning and the brain to heal
Can the brain even heal?
sure but if you have no psychosis you have no schizophreniaâŚ
Not true zeno⌠sz happens if there is no psychosis too⌠dont forget me @zenoâŚ
That diagnosis is disappearing⌠icd 11 is out and it removed subtypesâŚ
Yes according to the expert sz simplex is now called as a personality disorderâŚ!!!
I will ask my pdoc about thisâŚ!!!
To the OP, you state you have hallucinations, then say meds arenât useful, then say meds are useful if a person has hallucinations and other psychotic symptoms. It sounds like you are hoping you donât have sz but you kind of think youâre starting to develop it? But you donât want to publicly admit it.
Please, we know you want to research and be an expert, but go talk to a psychiatrist. The internet is not the gospel on anything.
Hi @shaunbal. Just so youâre aware, psychotic episodes cause physical brain damage, by shrinking the amount of gray matter in the brain by 1-10 percent. The only clinically proven way to prevent this brain damage is by taking antipsychotic medication. The longer psychotic episodes go untreated, the worse the damage gets, and the more likely it is to become permanent.
The good news is, if this is your first episode, youâre likely to make a full recovery after 1-2 years of stability on meds. That is roughly how long it takes for the brain to heal from a single psychotic episode. If you go off meds before this time, youâre at an increased risk for a relapse, which could make your condition permanent.
Itâs true that many people experience awful side effects from some of the meds they try, but that is why there are so many to choose from. I eventually found a med that works amazingly for me, with no side effects.
You still got fight in you man. Itâs good that your aware that your experiencing things that arenât right. If it is psychosis and the first time. Getting treatment now means youâll be better off in the long run. Most of the stuff your bringing up is things you should be debating after you get things under control.
i just have mild mild visual hallucinations like i see orbs of light at night when walking outside ,ofcouse i dont want sz but its clear i have it or something similar , im not going to a psychiatrist unless it getts really bad intuitively i dont trust the western health system , ayurveda a must more compehensive health system also talked about healing insanity with herbs and life style
If those are your hallucinations, you should really get checked out by a general physician and neurologist, because those types of visual hallucinations could be a sign of seizures, brain tumors, low oxygen levels in the brain, or a number of other physical problems.
maybe u guys are right
