Read the last 150 pages of trainspotting in 2 days, read a clockwork orange in 2 days, now I’m reading junky which @anon84763962 recommended to me it’s pretty good it’s about a heroin addict in the 40s: all this reading makes me tired I might bow out early tonight peace.
I hope you enjoy Junky. It’s one of my favourite books.
I hope you keep on doing well. Reading can be a good thing to do.
I’ve pretty much stopped reading. I have only spiritual interests. I read a few paragraphs in my Buddhist books. They are required reading in the sangha on Friday.
I like it so far! 30 pages in.
Is he schizophrenic and is he gay? Because in the prologue it said he was both but not a mention since!
The Magus is good, psychological thriller, kinda long though, write it down. I think you’d like it, Jon.
I know William S Burroughs was homosexual. He was married to a woman at one point, I think he accidentally shot her or something. I don’t know about schizophrenic though.
He said he had hallucinations since he was young, and once kicked out the army because he was diagnosed " paranoid schizophrenic ". In quotes though, so may have been a false diagnosis. I’m reading it now, it’s 40s nyc…my mom was born in the Bronx in 1947, if she didn’t hate drugs so much she’d probably love this book
