When I turned around 16 we used to go to a old gravel pit, was very secluded , nice deep spring fed clear water, went there for years. till I moved away
Used to go to Santa Cruz beach & boardwalk as a kid. Found a better beach for swimming up north in Aptos. During summer vacation me and my friends were there every week. Bring a radio, a bag lunch, some pot and maybe some beer and a frisbee and a towel and stay there from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Last I went to a beach it was in Cuba. It was paradise. Unlimited food, fresh coconut, drinks inside the coconut, unlimited drinks, I drove a motorboat, a bar inside the water, did scuba diving, safari 4x4 trip and other activities. I remember the worker there yelled at me when I took his machete and cut a fresh coconut lol He said I can injure myself or someone.
Thereâs a beach on the Long Island Sound in Connecticut that I grew up going to, as a little kid and as a young adult. I think I like it the most because itâs very familiar to me and full of memories.
I lived in two coastal cities in floridaâŚpanama city beach florida in the pan handle of florida and later in fort walton beach, which is very close to destinâŚwhite sand beachesâŚoh yesssssâŚ
The spring fed dugouts are The Best. I grew up next to Sylvan Lake, which was very nice. Also had ready access to Pine Lake, which was just okay (and can also be a tornado magnet).
Shell Beach at Bodega Bay in Northern California, itâs little rocks not sand. I donât care for sand. And the little rocks are beautiful. Each one is polished and rounded by the waves, all different vibrant colors, even some colored glass.
We have a couple of good beaches near where I live. However we also have box jellyfish (and other things) in the water most of the year, and no real surf to speak of, so we donât get a lot of swimmers and the beaches are usually fairly empty. Sometimes people do bonfires on the beach in the evenings during our dry season.
I like walking on the beach, the sound of the water and the breeze. Very calming.
