My 20 year old bathroom scale died. Went on Amazon to look for a new one and … yikes. Why does anyone need a bluetooth scale?!? With an app?!? Do I really want Amazon/Facebook to know what I weigh (although I’m sure they already do somehow).
Need something reliable and WITHOUT electrodes for measuring body composition – dangerous to those of us with pacemakers.
Recommendations?
Tanita is quite good. Various weight scale types. Though, they don’t sell on Amazon. There was one of fitness town but it is a bit pricey.

I’ve never used one at home
just the one at the fitness center
that sounds crazy that it would have tech on it
I would try a place like Walmart or Target.
Interesting, it turns out that Tanita still sells my scale:
You can turn the electrodes off on it, thankfully. That’s the one that died.

Walgreens has them. Go to the store in person and buy one.

Ha - Or is that a real question? Are there Walgreens stores in Canada?
I recommend the following, old but reliable, only available during garage sale season

Then you’d have to go looking for the scales somewhere else. Online makes more sense

I go to Wagner’s in clinton, iowa
to get my scripts
they’re a ma and pa pharmacy, and so friendly
got fed up with DeWitt pharmacy, they wouldn’t fill new scripts
til the old ones were done. had a few words, I think they didn’t want me to come back.
Imo Walmart has the worst scales.

I’ve had this scale for 7 years and it works great. It’s only $20. It is exactly the same as the dr office.

I have this one and it’s crap. It works okay most of the time, but the battery compartment is shitty and the batteries and door are constantly falling off.
