Bare minimal Aps

First off, I know you guys have more experience than I do with meds. So my Dr moved me down from 3mg to 1.5 of invega, which they claim isn’t a high enough dose to treat SZA. It’s still keeping positive symptoms away going on 4 months now.

Do you think it’s possible that I could possibly maintain without it or would the voices come back? Any one else on a very low dose of meds?

If you went through more than 1 psychotic episode, chances are you’ll need meds for life.
Very few people manage to come off and not relapse within a year.

What’s wrong with 1.5mg? Do you get bad side effects?

I know about your insomnia, but it’s not AP-induced.

Nothing really wrong with it I feel better than I did comatosed on the 3mg. But my reflex’s and stuff seen slower on Aps. And my only friend doesn’t know I take them he tells me he wants the old me back that I’m just dull lately

Sorry to hear that. Maybe you have primary negative symptoms, like poverty of speech. I used to have it pretty badly.
I opened up to my best friend about my illness and he is very understanding and supportive.
If you only had one episode, it’s worth a try coming off completely after a year or more. But first discuss with your pdoc.

I think it’s my lack of emotion. And I’m slow to respond to his conversations cause I’m staring in space with my mind elsewhere. Not in the present.

I would stay on it for a year then try to reduce. No one can know if you will relapse but I read that 5% of schizophrenics can live off meds and without symptoms. I was on 6mg Risperidone, now on 5mg. I tried 4mg and I got symptoms.

I have the same problems. I think its both the meds and the sz.

I can’t go on low dose of my aps because I relapsed too many times. I take 400mg amisulpride and 4mg haloperidol and it may have to be raised even more.
