Bad sleep this week

I had vacation this week, but I barely did anything. I’m fatigued from not sleeping.

Nothing seems to work for sleep. I tried many venues, like switching AP’s(seroquel, latuda, abilify), supplements, sleepaids(gabapentin, benadryl), sleep hygiene, going to bed regular.

Some Supplements seem to help a bit, but I’m still really struggling.

I’m on zyprexa, which is most likely causing the poor sleep, but the paradox is I can’t quit it, because then I don’t sleep at all for who knows how long.

I don’t think I can go on like this for this for very long. My body is not happy with the lack of sleep.

I’m at the point where I don’t know what to do anymore. There are no good options. I guess I’ll ask my doctor next appointment if there is something else we can try.

Have you tried exercising first thing you wake up? Wake up, exercise for 20 to 60 minutesz and by night time you might find yourself pretty tired and will sleep well.

I slept well on Olanzapine but I was only on it less than a year I think. I was on 20mg a day and I took it every night before bed and slept for ten hours.

I have excersised early in the day some days if I have energy for it, but I don’t think there is a correlation to how well I sleep. I’ll keep it in mind though.

I have taken it for 17 years. I was doing good sleepwise until the summer of 2014, then things went really bad. I switched to original zyprexa february 2023, this helped take me out of a critical situation with the sleep. I’m sure I wouldn’t be alive if that hadn’t happened. So original zyprexa is better, but it’s still a bad situation.

Yes, it did nothing unfortunately.

All I can think of is trying other meds if there are any more you can try.

Yeah, I take those, they seem to help a bit.

Yeah, I guess I’ll ask the doctor for other sleep aids to try.

I don’t think other AP’s can help the sleep problem. I was suggested nozinan at one point, but there are many risks with trying new AP’s, also I’m trying to hold down a job.

I ordered some new sleep formula supplements, but honestly it’s like trying to win the lottery in my experience with my particular problem, but when you are desperate…

An elderly relative of mine had insomnia despite being on a sleeping pill.

Now they sleep soundly as they’re taking a sleeping cocktail called “melissa dream” . If you Google the name you’ll see info and how to order it.

I might try that next if the ones I got are duds, although I’m a little intolerant of chamomille.
