Well…I have had insomnia for 8 years, so this is nothing new.
But I recently went up to 10mg olanzapine and it’s like every other day I don’t sleep. Now I had two days in a row sleepless. I’m just surprised the olanzapine doesen’t take care of it.
I also take several supplements for sleep like magnesium, melatonin, L-tryptophan and L-serine.
For a moment I thought cdp-choline was helping my sleep, but that turned out to not be the case. It was only for a couple of days it worked.
I don’t drink caffeine, I go to sleep at the same time every night. Don’t know if there is much more I can do.
Looking back I wish they had put me on a different AP that didn’t cause insomnia after long term use.
Yeah, I tried everything within reason pretty much. I did yoga for a while and I usually try to walk for at least 30 minutes each day. But the sleeplessness seems random. I haven’t been able to figure it out.
I was thinking of maybe starting a journal with what foods I eat, supplements and medication to see if I can find any connections.
@applekidd insomnia on olanzapine is far from the norm for the average person, most people sleep like hibernating bears on it. You shouldn’t be too worried
