Back to work

Just thought i’d say that i’m going back to work tomorrow.
I had 2 weeks off due to anxiety and low mood, feeling a bit nervous and anxious now but should be alright for tomorrow.

Anyone else get nervous at work? My problem is not being able to deal with change very well

Yes I have such moments too.
And I suck at multitasking, or context-switching. I work best when alone in a room and left to my own devices. But I’m not a bad communicator if need be. I just don’t find pleasure in doing it.

Well i went back!
Was nervous going in but the HR woman was supportive.
I told them about my anxiety and she asked if there was anything else they could do. I told her i have been to a couple of sessions at a therapy class on Monday, to which she said ‘would you like Mondays off in future?’. I said yes, so that’s a positive!

Still worried about tomorrow though. Oh well

Have you spoke to your doctor about feeling this way?
Are you on any meds

Well i had another 2 weeks off, now i have an extra week off again.
They increased my medIcation a couple of weeks ago and i went into work today but was really nervous. I told the manager and he said that i should go home and talk to the doctor.
My doctor said that the meds start to work 2-3 weeks into taking them, and peak about 4 weeks in.
Anyone notice when meds are starting to take effect?

Thats right you should be feeling some benefit now as you’ve been on them a couple of weeks. By 4 weeks they’ll definitely be working

If you still feel nervous at work then you need to talk to your doctor again

I don’t know your illness dx but sounds like your Anxiety is a problem for you
