I’ve written two books. The first one I wrote when I was 24 was great! The second one at 26 was not so great. But if I spent 10 hours editing it might end up good. One day I’ll get around to Doing it. Now I just turned 27 I wanna write my 3rd. Came up with the idea last night for it.

I self published on kindle btw. So I can always change it. Maybe if I got a blockbuster breakthrough book one day they’ll go back and publish my first ones because that The Raven Who Killed was great and had a great message even though I wrote it at 24 yo.

I have 3 books going at the moment. Nothing published yet. I keep going back and changing them. My first one is almost polished enough for me to take the next step, but I struggle with motivation and confidence. Unless I’m manic, then I write and write for days! Hahaha.

I’m a binge writer too. I get manic…errr inspired, then write 40k+ words in 3 or 4 days. Then don’t write anything for a year give or take. I think I’m ready to go on a binge again. !! Cool you got 3 books. I know the feeling of not feeling satisfied.

My parents are both from the Bronx. My dad grew up with season tickets. He was at the game roger Maris hit his 61st homerun! I live in Connecticut though born and raised.

I never could find an agent to get a publisher so I self published through iuniverse. cost me $700. best thing I ever did…I hand out copies every year and since most people buy my used copies around the world I have no idea how well known the book is…I went anonymous unfortunately or I could have book signings…I was semi delusional when I wrote the book that’s why I have such a detailed account of what happened to me mentally in the book.

I write songs a lot. Sometimes I write poems, prose, and mess around with my first novel. I’m by no means a professional at it though, it’s just a hobby.

I like to write, poems mostly. I have gotten several published, but this illness, or possibly the meds, has hindered my ability. I don’t have the motivation or the creative spark, that urge to write that I used to get. It’s unfortunate.

I haven’t written for exactly a year but last spring and the winter before that I wrote everyday. I was happy, probably manic. I think the meds hinder my ambition to write now tho because even when I was a kid I wrote. My goal was to make my living off it when I wasn’t commercial fishing, and I had thought about going to school. Those days are gone. I don’t have any creative spirit lol. At least I still love to fish… still have a part of me left!

Same here. I go in spells. So far it’s been a lack of a creative full year for me . I miss writing. But then I just throw it away cause I don’t want people reading it . Ha

My goal is to make a living off it too. You write songs? Dang, talented!!! I wish I could do that. Do you play any instruments?
I have written two books and an anthology of poems but unfortunately not yet published. At moment I have lost motivation to write. Just keep a journal that’s all

It’s awesome that you’ve written so much!! I used to write poetry when I was in my teens. Need to dive back in to that.
It is unfortunate! I keep seeing other people’s replies about losing motivation. I’m in the same boat!

Yep. I’ve self published a book of my experiences with scz on Amazon, I’m currently working on a collection of short stories which I plan to try and get published through the ‘proper’ channels when complete, and I’ve had 9 or 10 poems published in various books/anthologies. I also plan to try and get a book of my poetry published at some point. Fistbump back atcha!
