I picked at a wound on the back of my head, got it infected, a lymph node got involved and an abcess formed. The doc for some reason was worried about MRSA.

I tend to pick at bad places on my body too. It’s a bad habit.

For me it’s a disorder. A manifestation of my ocd called excoriation disorder. I’ve had it for years and years now. I take a medicine that helps a lot, but when I’m stressed I’ll admit it flares, and yes, I do just do it sometimes out of habit.

This isn’t the first time I’ve gotten my scalp infected, but it’s the first time I’ve gotten MRSA. I think I picked it up at te ER when I was there the other 3 times I was there for my kidney last week, or possibly at the nursing home when I visited my aunt.

The bugger of that being that the best place to catch MRSA is in a hospital. Then you get billed for it?

What makes me sick to my stomach is that many doctors are in it just for the money
The more sick patients they receive the better.
It’s a business to them after all
