I checked my account history this morning to see if things were in order. They weren’t. Someone had made a fraudulent withdrawal of $59 on my account. I called Arvest Bank, trying to get them to remove this fraudulent withdrawal from my account. They have done that before, and it was no hardship on them to remove that fraudulent withdrawal. But they refused. This guy named Preston I talked to on the phone gave me the runaround bigtime. He offered to send me a package that was full of instructions on what I was supposed to do if I had a fraudulent withdrawal. He told me I needed to get another debit card. He said that because I had used a debit card I had to wait until I could get another debit card to get the situation straightened out. He told me all kinds of ■■■■■■■■ like that. I don’t have personal transportation, and it is hard for me to get to town. If I can’t get that fraudulent charge removed I am going to have an overdraft, and the bank will charge me an extra $17. Right now I am really hating on Arvest Bank.

you need to get a different account. I think you should wait patiently until they can get you another card…
Sux - if you dont settle that fraudulent debt and go in the negative - even if you switch banks. A lot of banks give you a sign up bonus $250 from Chase bank which i am considering doing.
But yeah - if you dont settle with the bank you’ll get screwed by the Chex system and it will be on your record for 3 years which affects being able to get a checking account at other banks. So messed up.
