Are you worried about what you'll do when you get older

I have a fear of winding up in a really lousy nursing home, but then again I might could make the best of it. There is no telling how I might end up mentally. It might be okay if I could duck around the corner and go to a library. I do live in an assisted living center for the mentally ill right now. It’s not bad. All your particulars are taken care of.

do you cook for yourself? or do they provide meals for you?

what about privacy? do you have your own room, or do you have a roommate. can you get out and go for walks on your own?

If you’re in the “independent living” program you buy your own groceries and cook your own meals. If you’re not in that they fix your meals for you. It varies from place to place. Some facilities might have a few bad elements in them, but they don’t hang around for long. Most of these places are decent places to live.

I am very fortunate in that I have my own room, which means I have as much privacy as I want. There is only one other place that is like mine in this facility. Most of these places do have some degree of privacy. There are nooks and crannies where you won’t be noticed.

No, im not worried, i don’t bother that much. Im 51 and hoping, but not expecting, 10 years more.

I hope tomorrow will be better than today, and today is all right, that’s my strategy.

My grandma is going to pass away soon. I’ll probably inherit her house in which I’ll remodel, live there with roommates for free …
Ultimately, though, i want to move to Vermont and place a trailer home on a lake or mountain lot with a wife so I can relax :slightly_smiling_face:

vermont is one of the 5 states i’ve never been to. but i hear it’s scenic and beautiful. i think it gets a bit cold for me, but that sounds totally doable. good luck.
