I don’t take benzos. I like uppers. I took Ativan once, twelve years ago. Didn’t like it or dislike it. Never took another one.

I was on clonazepam for years.
It didn’t do much for me taking it on a daily basis.
It worked better as a prn - taking it as needed.

I’m currently benzo free and happier this way.

Yeah they do me good unless I don’t take them daily and I crash.

Had a gran mal coming off of xanax. Really woke me up to a little addiction and using it to sleep which isn’t really a good use of it.

That wasn’t much fun waking up in an ambulance.

I have been on Valium 5mg daily for two years… and a myriad of other medications for 6+ years. Valium, for me, stops what I can only describe as a never ending anxiety attack. I don’t feel doped by diazepam… It eases tremors, breathing and racing thoughts. It also helps me attend counselling… I couldn’t practice mindfulness or CBT before it. Not keen on a benzo addiction but it’s my only choice atm. I was only put on Valium due to PTSD from assault and my sensory problems with ASD. Not for Schizoaffective Disorder… I hope to improve enough with time to slowly taper down.

Valium saved me of suffering quiere a few times when I was prescribed it. Coming off it was tough. I believe it made me a stronger person not having it

I was also on Ativan, they had me on 2 mg then put me down to 1 mg. I found the same thing that it made my anxiety higher.

I was on 2 mgs too but got dropped to 1 mg a day. I take a half mg at night and save the rest for when I really need it

I am on 2,5mg Ativan (or Tavor) morning, noon and afternoon.

I was but I’m benzo free and feeling great as I can be.

I told my doc that I shouldn’t take benzos if I don’t feel anxious, but he said no you should take them anyway

also I told him that they are addictive and they are used for short term therapy but he said no you can use them for months
