I am humorous but only with dark humor. I can make jokes if they’re dark but not if they’re light, laughing all bubbly and chucking. Too much depression to laugh at those type of jokes. I am dark humored though.

My wit, when I have it, is sardonic, often pointing out absurdities, contradictions. For instance, my choir leader bound us all to be on time at 9:25am for the next rehearsal. I piped up, “You were the one who was late last time.” One person laughed. The leader said, “I’m not a morning person.”

I try humor or absurd remarks. but my timing or judgement of when to use them must be off. That or the people who have surrounded me had no humor.
My sense of humor is often interpeted as a put down or hurtful. or it maybe seen as an unwanted smart@$$ remark at best. It is confusing to me as I have heard people say much worse and it was thought of as funny.

A lot of it is tone of voice… Maybe you just have trouble with tone of voice. If I was you, I just be cautious! Before I tell jokes…

I think you could be right. I have said things before in regular conversation that came totally wrong.
It does not happen everytime, but often. I have no reason as to why it happens. I dont mean to do it.
I think it could be the accumalation of much experience of time. I have spent a lot of time around grouchy, hateful people. I think I could accidently be immitating their tones out of habit.

Yeah controversy is the seat of most good humor. Sarcasm and irony… creative punnery are also good tools.
It takes me forever to understand other individuals, but once the barriers come down in that spooky natural way… I do a good job to entertain.
My brother has masturbated in a public bathroom… I’m joking… but that would make most of my friends laugh.
However no one seems to find it funny that I have genital warts (no joke.)
