I give to our local charity that feeds the homeless or poor people. They just sent me a letter saying whatever I donate, they will double it. So I sent them a $30.00 check.
Local is probably the way to have the most impact. I just donated to Unicef and our local Toys for Tots program.
Cool. At Christmas time, it should be all about the kids.
I’m a disability pensioner and give when I can over the year. I tend to favor leftist politic so I support such concerns. It’s not much but I give what I can. I think it’s great if you’ve some money to give to those who need it but honestly the government should be doing these things anyways.
I am not trying to cause a fight. Just saying. Things like poverty shouldn’t be a problem in the first world.
I donated at the beginning of December, so I won’t be able to donate on Christmas Day, but once I get ahead on my money I will donate, probably to unicef, or some organization that is working to avert a famine in Yemen. I might be able to donate on Jan 1.
As usual, I’m donating to our local animal shelter.
