Iāve had people assume I was college educated. Not lately, because I choose to speak at a lower, easily digestible level. I really dislike peppering posts or speech with ten dollar words that the other party may not understand. It just makes for, my favorite quote, unwieldy verbiage. That in itself makes you look pompous.
I prefer coming off as a little less intelligent if it means I donāt come across as an educated ass trying to make others bow to my superior intellect. Doesnāt bother me like it did.

I was diagnosed with type 1 bipolar
I have gratuated from Civil engineering after I got diagnosed. after graduation stated translating articles from English to Farsi and most of the clients were satisfied.

Iāve Lost some brain power since getting ill, but itās also due to less socializing and no demanding work environment.

I agree its a spectrum, some are affected more than others.

The brain does different things some things are more affected than others in different people. I went to psychometrist however its spelled when i was a kid and scored above average but half of people score above average and half below. Im probably below average now.

When it comes to manual /practical tasks Iām definitely less able than the average person. Based on tests created by a psychometrician my IQ hasnāt altered much compared to my pre teen IQ.

last time they did an iq test on me it came back for 87ā¦ it looks low to me but people say iām not stupidā¦

Iām not doing so on purpose. I just have no idea what you want me to discuss with you.
Somebody posted an IQ test on this site, and I was amazed at how many highly intelligent people there are on this site. I think there is a subset of szās who are smarter than average. I think that IQ can vary across time for many szās. Iāve never gotten any support for that point of view, but I still believe it to be the case.

Online IQ tests are worthless, I found them much easier than a real IQ test done by a neuropsychologist at my hospital. Online I get like 122-133 but with neuropsych I was below average.

I tested high on one given by my school. They immediately pulled me from regular classes and put me in āgiftedā ones. I got kicked out of them for reading ahead and not doing my work, just taking tests. My mother wouldnāt tell me the number I scored because it would make me āget a big headā.

They took me out of class too āsaid I was specialā and stuff but didnāt qualify for gifted classes because I was 120 not >130. I felt inferior but after my āresearchā glad I didnāt make it. I was slow and behind and an underachiever and come from a normal/non-academic household.
