Are voices inside your head hallucinations?

I don’t hear voices through my ear. I hear them inside my head. I see a person I used to know inside my mind’s eye/inside my head and I hear them talking inside my head. If the voices are not auditory, but they are in my head, are they still hallucinations? I just want to know so I can know if they can be treated with anti-psychotic medications.

I get voices inside my head as well, and a radio playing incessantly inserted into my thoughts

You should call 911 and ask them to send you to the local hospital.

That’s half my problem I actually went outside last week chasing the voices

Mine are mostly outside my head and seem supernatural.

I think they are hallucinations. I have only heard voices in my head in the past, but I wonder whether others also hear them through their ears, I don’t know?

If it is like thoughts in your head that you feel come from somewhere else it’s known as “thought insertion”. It is a symptom of psychosis but not really a hallucination. More a disordered form of thinking I would say. Cognitive.

My “voices” are primarily thought insertion, but I do occasionally get auditory hallucinations as well.

When I have them it’s both

I get a lot of those too. They are hallucinations. And i get the radio thing roo

I get a lot of internal chatter, and oftentimes it overlaps with my actual thoughts and it can get kind of hectic in my head.
