I wouldn’t call it a delusion I just feel like I can relate so much, it started when I was stalking this girl on facebook Nd thought her posts were about me and she clocked on wat I was doing so after that I’ve thought the same applying to everything, this was only a year ago
I’ve felt the same way. Now I don’t listen to any new music so don’t have this problem.
Thank you that’s what I’m gonna do
They may have not been made for you, but when you have a creative mind, you can interpret it in a meaningful way to be about yourself.
Haha… Yeah I used to have this delusion…
I feel guilty for stalking girls on facebook, they probably felt so violated that I was reading their profiles. At the time I had no idea they would know I was searching them. Poor, silly, schizophrenic me.
Never experienced but have heard it mentioned by a few people diagnosed with Bipolar a few times. Some people can feel a song on the radio is being played just for them. Not sure if related but comes to mind.
I totally get this when things are bad for me. I thought my wife was cheating on me when I was listening to country music. And one other time went into a rage because of a message I was getting from song lyrics. So I don’t listen to music with lyrics while psychotic, unless it’s Christian music.
hey! hey! hey! shame on you @anon10866441 ![]()
you should know better. ![]()
only I’m allowed to stalk girls on facebook. ![]()
just kidding…
stalking girls is a serious legal offense, my friend. you could do serious time for that. ![]()
I’ve delt with the same thing
Hahaha u joker
I often think that different songs on the radio are about me. I guess it is a common misconception.
I look at this way. Sometimes I listen to a song, and it just registers with me on a very deep level. It lets me know that somewhere out there, there was at least one person who has experienced some intangible aspect of life in the same way that I have. And then sometimes when I look up stuff about the music made or written by fans, I realize that there are even more people who have felt and perceived the same way. It’s not so much that the music was made “for me” but there is a significant value in being able to connect with other people through art like that. I imagine in some cases that a music artist let a million people know through one song that they were not alone in some way. It doesn’t really even need to be some sort of psychic or otherwise delusional sort of thing. It is very meaningful just in and of itself.
I get this often. Instrumental music helps.
seriously though. just because it’s cyber, doesn’t mean it’s okay.
cyber-stalkers can get blocked and banned from a lot of websites (stalking is against a lot of community rules.) and the stalkee can report to the authorities, if things get out of hand (for example, constantly contacting stalkee through various social media networks or using stalkee’s contact information.)
it’s not worth it, my friend. it can ruin a man’s internet experience.
once kept hearing my name on a song I liked… so I figured i’d show my friends; they never heard it; played back the clip with my name 4 times… all times they never heard it lol… tht wen it hit me - schizo still has my opinions in songs (talking through songs etc)
yeah, sometimes I hear messages in songs or words that are not really in the lyrics. so I like music that has no words, I think Jimbob said it’s called instrumental music.
