Apple removes VPN apps from China App Store

LOL @anon80629714 I guess the government is really spying on us :flushed:

The country is continuing its clampdown on the use of virtual private networks to get around its notorious internet filter

The Great Firewall of China. The Communist Party of China is conscientious of what information its citizens can have access to. They wouldn’t want another Tiananmen Square (天安门广场) incident.

@zoom Thanks, I’m sure you can also type in Chinese and English as well since you’re from K.L.

Eh. VPNs are already adapting. Rotating IPs are now becoming a standard feature. The VPN I use was blocked by Netflix for like a week and now it works fine.

Anyhow, Apple has never prided itself as a phone developer for those who wish to do questionable things with their device. If you want to ignore local laws you should get a superior Android phone that gives you the user full control to do as you please.
