Who recommends a good vpn service? virtual private network is a thingy that makes it look like your ip address is coming from somewhere else.
My paranoia seems to be acting up a bit, or else it’s that law that just came out saying comcast can sell my browser history to the highest bidder…whatever it is, I want to know your guys’ thoughts on virtual private network services.
I used shadevpn for a month or two. It was good, but then I clicked on some country to hide in that had an attack happen and I got paranoid and quit using the vpn. On the one hand, I want my privacy, and on the other hand, would using a vpn make me stand out in the internet crowd of people? Anyways, which vpn do you guys’ use? Any tips or advice on picking one? Like which country should I plug into? Why?
Yeah, I’ve read stuff about this new bill that’s soon to be signed by the POTUS. Actually, I was informed by my spouse while I was out. We had a session a few months ago but I think she’s not going overboard with this. she’s right, and to a great extent, so are you.
ISPs can decide not to give it away. Giants like AT&T and Verizon have splendid credibility and it may hurt if they try and sell us out. But I guess that’s where the bill comes in to lift the ethical/moral obligations. We recently got Ivacy VPN and so far it’s doing okay. We’re not too much for downloading. we’re into vpn only because of this whole privacy thing and anonymity… because the government should be doing it and somehow, it’s now supposed to be a third party’s job.
When you do start a search on vpns, do keep in mind that if your VPN provider is from US, they’ll also be bound by government laws to keep logs, so go instead for something that is outside US, just to be safe. and one that doesn’t keep logs.
