Apple is only worth it for cellphones.
Their computers are way overpriced and have limited apps vs Windows.

But they look pretty and all the cool people have them!!!

The computers may be expensive but they last a very long time.

My Mac Air is my most used gadget that I have.

My old one lasted 8 years and I still got just over a quarter of the ticket price back selling it on eBay

I build computers and all computers components are made by major companies other than the brand of the laptop. Apple processor is made by Intel. I had windows laptops last more than 12 years. The thing that break in most laptops is the charging plug, new Apple and Windows laptops charge magnetically and throught type C USB so they basically never break now.
Also battery life for Apple and Windows lasts the same, they’re both lithium.

The hard drive also makes a difference in longevity, SSDs last much more than HDD, 20+ years.
Really they last the same, Apple or Windows.

I like LED shining gaming laptops with RGB keyboard etc

I used to build computers when I was a teenager.

To be honest, these days I appreciate plug and play and software designed to specific components to run optimally.

I also like the Aluminium casing and design is light weight.

I am not doing anything with my computer other than study and media/internet

Isn’t iOS more secure than Windows? Not really a comparison with Linux though. I think American made is best.

I’ve never built a computer, but I put components in. I feel really insecure because no one taught me and I never had a custom PC. I tried adding ram to my netbook one time and it was incompatible lol. Didn’t do ■■■■. I think I was psychotic at the time though. Really puts a dent on my self-esteem.

I also bought a $600 GPU for bitcoin mining and it was DOA. I did a compatibility check I think, had enough power, and all the connections fit. I returned it, but I was so pissed off because I’m not 100% sure I was correct. The costs of GPU increased dramatically from cryptomining. I wanted to make a couple hundred dollars extra a month in mining bitcoin to add to my SSI. Easy money. But nothing ever works out for me.

I want to be a computer engineer but I cannot even build a PC. I could have money if I didn’t waste it all on drinks and ■■■■.

I see a big trend and prediction where manufacturing is coming back to America especially if Trump gets re-elected. I’ve read that it’s a security concern due to the Chinese putting backdoors into computer hardware.

I prefer American Made. Less cheap stuff and higher quality stuff.

My friend has a Mac and uses an Antivirus. I think there is less but there is. Anyways, a good Windows free AV stop all viruses that you mostly get from downloading Torrent and pirated software. I never had a virus since Win XP and that was bcz I didn’t have an AV.

No one is mining anymore, its not worth it anymore. I did with 2 GPUs when it was profitable, it basically paid the price of both GPUs.
GPU cost increased bcz nVidia has been dominating the market and has the fastest cards.
AMD can only compete in the mid-range and low-end.

I have the fastest GPU on the planet which came out in 2018, 2080 Ti
