So I got my gift shopping done. Now it’s a waiting game. This month has gone by slow maybe partly because I’ve had shingles these past 12 days and haven’t been able to do much. The pain is going away but the rash still has some healing. Anyways, my dad hooks me up with a lot of cash for Christmas. With that and the money I get for cleaning I’ve been looking at this. I’ve wanted this watch forever but had given up on it. I believe I’ll be able to afford it though this year. Is there anything you are getting or want to get for yourself for christmas? It’d be interesting to see your aspirations. Here it is.
I got my gifts already.
I wanted a curling iron that is wide and makes large waves. My mom got it for me.
My husband got me a new sweatshirt and leggings. I love them.
I also hoped for new nickel free hoops but maybe for my bday in February
I’d like a family to celebrate it with but those days are gone.
I ordered a modded vintage lens that I am hoping will arrive in time for Xmas, but the odds are not great.
I want to celebrate Xmas with mother. Yes I want mother for myself.
I’m sorry @iconoclast_01 . You don’t have any family at all?
I would like a voucher to use at my hair salon. I love getting pampered because its so relaxing.
One brother who lives in NH. That’s it.
@iconoclast_01 , have you ever attended a Clubhouse? It might help you because you can celebrate the holidays with people you get to know there and not feel alone
spending time with my grandma and mom
I am waiting to buy a six string “backpacker” guitar…( c. f. martin!). about 299.00. should happen soon after Christmas…yayyyy. I never get myself anything usually.
More books on how to write better.
I really suggest reading “how to write a damn good novel” I forget the author…it helped me learn how to write fiction…at the time before I got sick I was working on fiction even though my only book I’ve ever wrote was autobiography. @anon70814080
By James N. Frey? I had that one for a while. I also a few others by him (hardcovers). They were really great.
I would like an english christmas pudding, but i guess i have to bake it myself
Unfortunately there aren’t any around where I live but thank you for the suggestion
What about joining a community center for activities that are inexpensive, or joining a religious institution so you can create your own family as time goes on? As you get to know people, you might feel less alone. I couldn’t handle being in your position
I’m looking into joining a local church. I just want to find one where I don’t feel so anonymous.
That’s a good idea. Find one where it’s big enough to not feel uncomfortable but small enough to get to know people.
Thank you @LilyoftheValley
