Maybe this is a longshot but, does anyone do any hobbies and if so what Projects are you working on?
I’m working on a nice little project atm, its a model ship i made from scratch from cardboard, I have the main hull & i have the wood for the 3 masts, I also made a Kraken which will be attacking the ship, another person has made a starfish and sea turtle which they are painting, its a nice little project.
It probably won’t go anywhere, but I’m trying to throw together a YouTube style video reviewing a retro game. Just to see how well I can imitate the content creators I love like James Rolfe and Majuular. I’m using free software currently.
That sounds really interesting, what’s the retro game?
I am doing Secret of Mana right now on my SNES Mini, because Visions of Mana is coming out shortly and there’s a lot of connections between the two.
It sounds really cool to do a review of a cool game,
I did a similar thing with a couple of vinyl boxsets recently, it was an unboxing (kinda review) i think.

I started a daily photo project in February of this year. I had a friend with cancer who was declining. He couldn’t get out to make his own images, so I went out with a camera every day and made them for us both.
The blighter kind of guilt-tripped me into doing it and I am still going. I promised him daily photos for a year and I’m keeping the promise.
So… That’s my project right now.
I look up animals im interested in and write all the information down like a essay type thing that i dont have to do just do it for fun
Im thinking about doing more photography especially while fishing like the water the ducks and trees stuff like that
I’m part of the Neighbors Feeding Neighbors organization. I’m organizing food and monetary donations to feed 45 families in the city in need of a complete thanksgiving dinner. It takes me a whole year to organize, shop, cook and deliver. I used to only feed 20 dinners at a time each year but I’ve been able to expand by teaming up with others.
That is such a nice thing to do for your friend, idk if i could do something like that for a whole year.
@AwesomeFisherman nature is amazing, i love nature too & taking the odd picture here and there is very worthwhile, i sort of dabbled in photography a bit & at one point i was thinking of getting a good digitle camera, i got cold feet bc i thought it would be heavy & cumbersome to carry around, plus idk if i have the capacity to work a camera properly, the idea of photography gves me a nice warm glow though.
@sweetpotatopie that sounds very nice, its sounds like you’ve got a little soup kitchen thing going on (what we call voluntary giving and helping to feed homeless folk)
During lockdown my charity saw a need to feed and we started a pantry in a poor area of my city, it is very good as it provides a lot of food for a very low price, that charity is now an independent entity & its doing well,
On a Sunday we let another charity use our facilities & they put on a meal for anyone interested. food poverty is a very real thing.

That’s such a cool project! Especially as you are working on it with others.
I am not working on any project atm but I suspect I will be once I have a bit more time. These past few weeks have been hectic between appointments, social obligations and work. Most likely an art project.
Hey guys, i have another couple of things (projects that i am starting or have started soon)
I started measuring & cutting cardboard to size as i intend to make a witches house & then decorate it.
I also bought a Mooer 150 pedal for an electric guitar which i intend to learn.
Radio show is starting back up twice a month.
I want to join a choir as well.
I have a lot going on so i need to be careful i don’t overdo it.
I guess you could say, working on maths is a project
i’d say it would be a project if it was trying to solve a problem like Sheldon out of big bang theory does when he’s trying to work something out lol
I am going back to college next year. That’s a big undertaking.
ETA: university this time actually.
i never thought I’d fit in at a uni, i have preconceptions of the students there being really snobby & looking down on others, idk why i think that.

Oh man, I’ve not had that experience at all. Everyone was soooo nice at college. But that was just community college so maybe people are snobbier at uni.
I’m studying Library and Information Sciences.
That sounds ok, i had some weird interactions at college when i was there even though i was president of the students society, the people in business studies seemed a lot more ruthless, i was studying care so i was like, (that’s not my tribe man) lol
I’m sure library are Information studies are fine, it sounds like fun, i think i am sort of tarring all people in uni with the same brush and thats probably wrong.
I’m gonna build a home media server at my moms once I get an 8TB external HD from my dad’s.
