Have you taken Rexulti AP before?
How does it make you feel??
It’s a new drug I am now taking.

I once asked my psychiatrist if rexulti was a good antipsychotic. I take carplex (vraylar). He told me that there was no difference between Vraylar and Rexulti, the only difference is the price, Rexulti is more expensive.
Thanks for the heads up! I had an intense muscle stiffness issue with Vraylar.
Hoping there is enough difference so that doesn’t happen again. I could barely stand up. It was coffee and willpower that got me through the few workdays like that.
I was on rexulti, it helped some. At first I had restless leg syndrome then my pdoc maxed the dose and he also prescribed caplyta with the maxed dose. After I was on both of those antipsychotics being on the maxed dose I had no side effects. I remember when he first put me on rexulti I had really bad shakes, he gave me a low dose of benztropine and it got rid of the shakes. My blood work came out ok on both these meds too. I always check the liver and kidneys for any beginning problems so I can attribute it to the medication so I can switch and get medicine that doesn’t mess up my labs. I still had hallucinations and delusions on that med combo
I was on rexulti for a while. Similar to abilify. Wasnt a bad med. Good if you dont want to be overly sedated.
That is a really smart approach to the meds effects.
I have been mostly good with the Ap side effects, but keep getting this strong electrical brain sensation. I’m kind of over it right now.
The Zyprexa was so very sedating, it gave me a TKO knockout every night!
I wouldn’t try it even if I got their grandma on the buy
Why not?

I don’t know what it is but it probably makes me floppy…
That’s true, no one wants to be floppy.
Yeah zyprexa makes me zombie. And it gives me hectic resltess legs if i take it these days.
Abilify was my fave ap med out of all the ones i tried.
Rexulti was the first AP I was put on back in 2018. I was on it for a couple of months and didn’t notice much improvement, but just keep in mind everyone is different. Just because it didn’t work for me does not mean it won’t work for you.
Idk I’ve never taken it however I was told it wouldn’t work for me so I’m on haldol don’t ask me why they said it wouldn’t work idk it’s just I have severe episodes where they call it mania but I kinda am skeptical that’s off topic tho
Good we have good docs to steer us right.
I was told Abilify / Rexulti are very activating, so may make the mania even more so.
