I’m talking about lithium orotate, not lithium carbonate.
Lithium orotate is natural or more natural than the prescription kind lithium carbonate. And lithium orotate is meant to have no side effects.
Has anyone tried lithium orotate?

I have tried lithium orotate, I bought it of EBay and it was manufactured by Swanson in the US.
I have bipolar and I wanted to see what lithium felt like. It did make my mood more stable and I didn’t get any side effects.
Unfortunately I need to be on an antipsychotic and antidepressant, so I got concerned that there may have been an interaction if I took all 3 together. So I am no longer on the lithium.
The is not much information about lithium orotate on the Internet, lithium works by attenuating the signals between brain cells similar to some anti epileptic drugs, rather than altering the effects of serotonin and dopamine.
