Put some drops of lavender oil on my pillow this evening as lately my sleep has not been as good and I’m feeling tired.
Just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it helped them. I’m off to bed now.

I have some lavender plants growing outside in my front yard, mainly because they are neat looking and drought resistant.
The dried flowers can be put in a satchel and then under the pillow to smell nice, but as far as making you sleepy?
It can be, but as far as putting you to sleep,
that’s something you have to teach yourself to do, and the lavender smell is only the ‘trigger’ to start your process, not the actual process itself.
I spent $250 on essential oils of all kinds one year and used them enthusiastically until I discovered that they were giving me killer migraine headaches. I ended up having to give them all away.
I have lavender balm I rub on my temples if I can’t sleep is good
I have lavender essential oil. It doesn’t really work for me.
I recently started taking melatonin (from the supplement aisle) before bed. The melatonin doesn’t help put me to sleep, but It does keep me asleep through the night.
I found it to be relaxing before bed but it did not help keep me asleep. Getting to sleep is not a problem for me. It’s staying asleep that is a problem for me.
I burn lavender oil at bedtime when my husband can’t sleep and he says it works well for him. I find it relaxing too 
For many years I used to pick lavender from the garden, dry it, then make a little posy in some muslin cloth to put under my pillow. I always found the smell of lavender very soothing.
