Anyone tried dementia meds for cognition?

They improve cognition and negative symptoms according to some studies in some patients

I don’t think a doctor is going to prescribe those to me. It took me a year to get my hands on Saxenda and that’s with a legit need for it.

You should check out the list of side effects which include heart failure for those meds (memantine).

I want smart pills like Strattera but my dr refused to prescribe it :sob:

Some guy on here tried memantine I remember. Not sure if it went well.

Straterra mainly acts on norepinephrine. I think its method of action is different than traditional stimulants. Apparently strattera and traditional stimulant combo can work better for some people for adhd. Strattera addresses the inattentive side more but not motivation. I watched some good videos about it.

It explains executive function quite well.
